Fall is a favorite time of year for many, whether you’re most looking forward to a pumpkin patch visit, spending time with family and friends, or the seasonal treats that are perfect for cozying up with on a chilly day. And when it comes to seasonal treats, nothing pairs better with go-to fall choices than a warm cup of coffee.

At Rahm Roast, you’ll find that we’ve got some truly distinct coffee flavor profiles in our roast that are perfectly suited to autumnal pairings with classic fall treats—no matter your taste preference. Let’s explore a few pairing options together!

Coffee and Dark Chocolate’s Rich Moment

A unique feature of our coffee roast is that there are several different undertones you’ll find in each cup you make. At your first sip, you’ll taste a deep, dark chocolate undertone that’s been brought to the surface through our roasting process, which helps to enhance the natural cocoa notes in our coffee beans.

To perfectly complement our roast's dark chocolate flavor, consider a hazelnut biscotti. Biscotti is a classic, twice-baked Italian cookie known to be quite dry that’s typically served with a beverage. Hazelnut biscotti, in particular, are great for pairing with Rahm Roast due to the simple but delicious nutty flavor. You’ll find it mixes beautifully with our coffee, and that dark chocolate undertone helps to even out the rich flavor.

A Light Fair in Almond

On the lighter side of the Rahm Roast flavor palette, you’ll find a distinct yet mellow almond undertone that really embraces the comfy and warm vibes of fall. The nutty flavor is a softer follow-up to the coffee and dark chocolate flavor that helps serve as a pleasing addition.

Since the almond undertone is the lightest flavor in our roast (though no less standout on its own), there is a great flavor complement paired with almond. In the lineup of fall treats, nothing strikes a harmonious chord with a soft, nutty flavor quite like apple pie. Apple pie is a relatively sweet treat that delivers big on flavor, with apples and cinnamon serving as the two main ingredients. To help lightly cut the sweetness, pairing Rahm Roast with apple pie will deliver a true highlight to your fall days.

Sweet, Sweet Caramel

Last but not least in the Rahm Roast flavor journey is caramel. Following the bitterness and nuttiness of the coffee and dark chocolate and almond undertones, respectively, caramel delivers a sweet tail end to a stunningly complex flavor in each and every cup that you make.

And while you can certainly lean into sweetness on sweetness when deciding on the perfect treat to pair with the caramel flavor in Rahm Roast, our choice is to go the way of the ever-popular pumpkin spice cookie. Caramel is the final note in a lovely little symphony of flavor in your cup, and pumpkin spice cookies are an autumn pairing that will strike a nice balance between that sweetness and a grounded seasonal flavor that’s a little cinnamon and ginger all in one—making for a flavor combo that’s unbeatable this time of year.
