The holiday season is now in full swing, and with that comes one of our favorite parts of the holidays: the sweets! From the pies to the cookies and everything in between, we love it all. This holiday season, we wanted to take that love for sweets a step further and incorporate our other favorite, Rahm Roast mycotoxin-free coffee, into some seasonal dessert recipes! Check out our three favorites!
What Are Mycotoxins?
But first, you may be asking yourself, what exactly are Mycotoxins, and why should I care about them? Mycotoxins, as reported by the World Health Organization, are “toxic compounds that are naturally produced by certain types of molds (fungi). Molds that can produce mycotoxins grow on numerous foodstuffs such as cereals, dried fruits, nuts and spices.” What’s concerning for consumers is that the presence of mycotoxins is almost entirely dependent on the processes of the company that produces the goods they consume, as the fungi that create these mycotoxins are found during the growth and production stages.
Why Is Rahm Roast Coffee Mycotoxin-Free?
As fellow coffee lovers, we prioritize health as much as we do taste and have developed a science-backed patent-pending solution that specifically allows us to remove mycotoxins from our coffee beans. Our three-step process ensures that we create the best quality mycotoxin-free coffee for our consumers. This process starts with an advanced screening, making sure that we only select the highest quality coffee beans. Next, we use a special solution to ensure that we eliminate any molds to prevent mycotoxins without altering the taste of our coffee. Lastly, all of our beans go through additional testing to ensure that there are no traces of mold or mycotoxins after treatment.
