As lifelong coffee lovers, we know the impact that a great cup of coffee with a rich flavor has on everyone in the morning. But when you go to pour a cup of coffee, there are factors you don’t want to have to worry about impacting your enjoyment—like toxins and mold that can pose potential health risks. And it might be easy to wave off these toxins by telling yourself that they can’t really affect you or your coffee, but they pose health concerns. They can develop at just about any stage in the coffee production process, from the initial growth to the packaging stage.

But here at Rahm Roast, we fully prioritize the health of our fellow coffee lovers like you! We have developed a science-backed patent-pending solution that specifically allows us to remove mold and toxins from our coffee beans, resulting in the pure, clean coffee we’re known for.

Let’s dive into the science behind our clean coffee together!

What is Clean Coffee?

Clean coffee is exactly what it sounds like. It is coffee that’s free from a variety of impurities and toxins such as pesticides, mold, and chemical fertilizers to ultimately provide a roast that is safe and has a distinct, flavorful taste in every cup. The aforementioned toxins can make their way into coffee beans at any stage of the growth-to-your-cup process including during cultivation, roasting, packaging, and transportation. The coffee process from start to finish is lengthy and can last over a period of months to years.

Environmental factors like humidity, temperature, and weather play a major part in determining where and when coffee might be at risk for toxins, including mold, to begin growing. And because coffee is grown in humid weather throughout the year, with temperatures between 73-82°F being primary growing conditions, coffee is susceptible to mold contamination regularly—even as the weather shifts. But clean coffee is achievable.

At Rahm Roast, we’ve achieved this through our unique solution: a processing method specially designed to remove mold and toxins from our coffee beans.
