There’s something magical about the quiet of the early morning. The world is still, the air is crisp, and in the moments before the rush of the day begins, you have the chance to savor something special: your morning coffee. This isn’t just a daily necessity for coffee lovers—it’s a ritual. And with Rahm Roast in your corner, you can elevate that experience with the perfect pour-over to start your day right.

A Cozy Morning, Crafted with Care

Picture this: You wake up to a chilly morning, the sun barely peeking through the windows. You wrap yourself in a soft blanket and head to the kitchen, where your pour-over setup awaits. With Rahm Roast beans, you know your coffee will be more than just a caffeine fix; it will be a moment of warmth and comfort.

There’s a certain peace in crafting your pour-over. As the water slowly drips through the coffee grounds, the rich aroma of Rahm Roast fills the air, wrapping you in a cozy embrace. It’s this ritual that turns the mundane into something soothing, a practice that prepares you for the day ahead.

What is Pour-Over Coffee?

Pour-over coffee is a lot like it sounds—placing coffee grounds into a paper filter and pouring hot water over them.

The water runs through the grounds and filters the coffee into your favorite mug. It takes a little longer to make than your standard cup of joe, but trust us when we say the time you spend brewing will be more than worth it when you take that first sip. That is why we believe it's the Rahm way to make our coffee.

Why We Love Pour-Over Coffee Makers

There’s really no such thing as having too many coffee makers. While espresso machines and drip coffee makers have their place, pour-over coffee makers are a go-to choice for a great cup of coffee. They’re simple, reliable, and allow you to control every part of the brewing process.

With a pour-over coffee maker, you get more than just a cup of coffee—you get a work of art. From blooming the grounds to the final pour, each step of the process contributes to the flavor and richness of your brew. Mastering the Perfect Pour-Over with the Right Coffee Ratio

The art of the perfect pour-over starts with two essentials: quality beans and the right coffee-to-water ratio. With Rahm Roast’s expertly sourced beans, you’re already halfway to coffee bliss, but dialing in the ratio is where the magic happens: 1g of coffee to 16ml of water. So, for a small pot of coffee that yields about 500ml of coffee, you’d use 32g of coffee and 500ml water. If you’re making one large single cup, you’ll use about 22 grams of Rahm Roast coffee (roughly two tablespoons) and 350 grams of water.

Using a scale can help ensure consistency, but once you’ve got the hang of it, you might find yourself eyeballing the measurements with confidence. The key is to strike the right balance—too much coffee and the brew will be overly intense; too much water, and you’ll lose the depth of flavor. Rahm Roast’s bold yet smooth profile shines brightest when the ratio is just right.

The Pour: Slow and Steady Wins the Race

Once you’ve got your ratio down, it’s time to pour. Start by blooming the coffee—pour enough water to wet the grounds and let them sit for 30 to 45 seconds. This releases the gases trapped in the beans and sets the stage for a more flavorful cup. After blooming, continue pouring slowly in a circular motion, making sure the water is evenly distributed across the grounds.

The entire process should take about three to four minutes, but patience is key. The slower the pour, the more extraction you’ll get, which means more depth in every sip. As the final drops make their way through the filter, your morning is already off to a great start.
